Oh my goodness, I’m so excited that April is finally here! Aside from taking a girls trip with my mom to New York, I also have some good stuff happening with the blog this month.
First off, my blog is getting a highly coveted critique by Melissa at Momcomm. Melissa is a blogging and marketing whiz. Once I found out she was opening up her blog critique queue, I put this blog idea into high gear just so I could have the number of published posts required to enter the drawing.
Needless to say that I was really excited to find out that my blog would be critique #14 of 26 slots. And like a
nerd kid counting down for Christmas, I’ve been going over that list each week to see when my turn would be up.
Fingers crossed, if my calculations are correct, Melissa is posting her critique of my blog on her website today. (Update: oops, looks like I was off on my count. April 18th is the official date.) Give me a moment while I do my best impersonation of the I-just-found-out-I’m-sitting-in-the-audience-for-Oprah’s-favorite-things scream.
I’m both excited and nervous at the same time. All in all, I’m hoping she’s pretty tough on me because I’ll need the suggestions for my…
Yep, you know you’ve got it bad for blogs when you’d rather use your birthday money for a blog makeover instead of a cute pair of shoes. I signed up to get the makeover back in February and, at first, I was upset that I’d have to wait so long for the next slot to open up (what happened to instant gratification?). After giving it some thought, though, the timing ended up being perfect. It would suck to go through the redesign and get all Melissa’s good suggestions after the fact.
Anyway, I’m really excited about getting a new look and can’t wait to see what this will turn into.
And finally, in other good news, you’ll get a taste of some good bloggers this month. I’m planning to take a few days off from blogging when me and my mom head to New York City to celebrate her birthday. Instead of having to worry about writing posts, I thought it’d be even cooler to introduce you to some great bloggers. I know that y’all will be well taken care of.
Well, that’s enough good news for today.
p.s. I’m just a few people away from reaching my goal of doubling my Twitter followers this year. If you don’t mind, help a sister out and go over there now and follow The Well-Rounded Home. Once I hit my goal, I’m planning to shoot for another double.
Oh, and while you’re at it, you might as well like The Well-Rounded Home on Facebook too. (Shameless plugs, I know…smile!)
